Website Forms
Website forms are an essential part of any modern, well-developed website. Forms allow your clients and site browsers to actually interact with your website. A great example of a simple form would be the form that I am currently using on my contact page. This form only serves the purpose of contacting me. A great thing about contact forms is that they can easily be used to send information directly to an email account. The form that I have set up on my contact page does exactly that, and it's about as simple as a form gets. When you, or a client of mine, fills in and submits the form, I am emailed an email to my personal account that sends me all of the necessary information to contact that person and help him or her with whatever he or she in inquiring. It's very simple and quite efficient. There are many variations of forms as well.
Other forms could include forms that request more personal information from an individual. For example, many forms require a user to fill in information about his or her address, age, job, and phone number or numbers. Now, if forms like this were emailed to you, that might get a bit tedious and annoying, however sometimes that is preferred and it can be arranged that way if you like, however there are much nicer alternatives. For example, many companies love having their own mailing lists, and contact lists. Well forms like this are the best way to go. Rather than having the information directly emailed to an email account, the information can easily be submitted and saved within an on-line database. What are the advantages of this? Well, for one you can access it from your site anywhere that there is an internet connection. Secondly, the information is saved within a secure database, and best yet is that you can create emails that are sent to all of the individuals with whom you have their contact information saved within the database.
Forms are extremely versatile and can do so many things that it would be pointless to even try to explain or list a small amount of them. Essentially, forms spice up any site and add a sense of functionality that all modern websites seem to have.
